Semi Final 1
Germany Under 21 v England Under 21
Stadion Miejski, Tychy, Poland
27 Jun 2017
I had absolutely no intention of going to this game as i'd already visited Tychy for the Group game between Italy and the Czech Republic. Not to mentionI had a ticket for the other Semi Final in Krakow. That said, I ended up succumbing to intense peer pressure from the Bexley Ram which resulted in me hastily rearranging my travel plans. On the bright side I did manage to secure 2 x ViP tickets courtesy of the Hotel Staff at the team hotel (Mercure in Krakow).

This pano is actually taken during the Italy v Czech Republic game on 21 June from behind the goal in the Yellow Tribune.
For the Czech Republic v Italy game I stayed in the splendidly cheap Hotel Flora.
Hotel Flora is located in the shadows of the gigantic Tyskie Brewery which has been brewing since the 17thC.
The first stop for me was the Tyskie Brewery Museum built between 1916 and 1922. The price of the ticket included a billy bonus pint of Tyskie.

The Main Square in Tychy doesn't have many options

All quite at the Tychy City Stadium
It's match day again and this time I'm heading to Tychy from Krakow bus station armed with a six pack of strong Polish larger. What could possibly go wrong?
Walking the streets of Tychy
GKS actually means Gorniczy Club Sportowy which translated to English means 'Mining Sports Club'. Several clubs in mining regions are pre-fixed with this title (GKS Katowice, GKS Belchatow and GKS Jastrzebie).
