The first of the final 2 warm up games before England head to Germany as they bid to be crowned Kings of Europe. The second game will be played at Wembley next Friday night against Iceland. I will be in attendance!


It has been 19 years since the Three Lions last visited Newcastle when they beat Azerbaijan 2:0 in 2005 during the 2006 World Cup Qualifier. England have played here 7 times before, winning 5, losing once and drawing one:

This statue on Grainger street is one of a series of 3 statues collectively called 'Man with Potential Selves'. This one is known as 'Standing Man'. The others are 'Walking man and 'Floating Man' and represent the alter egos of an everyday working man from Newcastle

Bumping into Ian and Colin Ware of DCFC London Branch at the Alchemist. Colin's not impressed with the alchemy so we move on quickly

The first half is a bit dull so I go for a walk at HT


The outer terrace it is eerily quiet, just hope I can get back in

I get back in for the 2nd Half but couldn't get my ticket scanned as the booth had closed down

Like a highly trained soldier I make it on time for the train out of Newcastle, not looking forward to work this afternoon😒 ........but what a great night👽 Wembley in 3 sleeps
