Spain v England, Seville, Spain

UEFA Nations League 2018
Group 4 - League A
Spain v England
Estadio Benito Villamarin
Seville, Spain
15 October 2018

This was a 'must win' game for England as they lined up against a Spanish team in their quest to make the Nations League Finals in Portugal. The Spaniards had denied the Three Lions at Wembley in September when Danny Welbeck's goal was cruelly ruled out for a foul on the keeper.

A dangerous looking England could unseat Spain tonight.

To add to the  enormity of the occasion, Spain have not been beaten at home in a competitive fixture for 15 years, and England had failed to register a victory in Spain for 31 years.

England were allocated 3000 tickets for this game and with 4957 fans registering an interest, there were a large number of ticketless England fans in Seville.

The Estadio Benito Villamarin is the home of Real Betis and with a capacity of 60,720 is the 4th largest stadium in Spain
