Bernabeu Stadium, Madrid
8 May 2017
€48 for two tickets, I nearly shit myself! This better be good.
Real Madrid's "Galacticos"
The view from the top of the South West Corner is unbelievable and goes someway to justify the cost.
It is Match Day 3 and we're heading to Real Madrid's Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
An incredible place, Its even got its own Metro stop on Line 10 (Dark Blue)

The crown first appears in 1920 following a royal patronage bestowed on the club by King Alfonso VIII. In 1931 the crown disappears due to the dissolution of the Spanish monarchy. It is replaced with the purple stripe of the region of Castile. Two years after the Civil War in 1941 the crown is restored to Real's crest and the stripe is retained.
The history of the club is told in an amazing digital show
The first great European game against Derby County where Real Madrid fight back from a 4-1 deficit at the Baseball Ground to beat the Rams 5-1 at the Bernabeu.
Feeling proud that mighty Real Madrid acknowledge the Rams. A family friend went to the game and told me that the Spanish cheated as the Ref had a real shocker handing the game on a plate to them!
This is genius, you can hear all of the various terrace chants as they are piped through various horns.

Time for refreshments at the '105 Cafeteria' opposite the stadium
A perfect place for a Potato Omelette (Tortilla Espanola) washed down with a glass of cold beer
The 105 cafeteria is full of Real Madrid memorabilia. I bet its a nightmare getting a beer here on match day.
