As luck would have it the Futbology App was indicating that there was a match not far from our location. The venue was just one stop down from Trenčín in Nové Mesto Nad Váhom.
Upon entrance to the Areál AFC Považan stadium I received a programme and a ticket. Bonus!
The game was of great importance as it was the final game of a 32 match season, with our hosts equal bottom on 26 points with two other teams. Nothing but a win would give them any hope of finishing outside the bottom three in the IV Liga ZSFZ. The club are currently in freefall after being relegated from the III Liga West last season (2023/24)
The Areál AFC Považan stadium has a capacity of 4500. It has one main stand and a good social club, the other seating options are around the running track.
